FAGONE was born in Sicily as a leading company in the production of the Giarratana Onion, a prized vegetable whose bulbs have a slightly flattened shape, a white-brownish skin, and a very white, savory pulp, never pungent. It can reach a weight of 3.5 kg and is a Slow Food Presidium.

 

The Giarratana onion is a seasonal vegetable: to preserve it and enjoy it all year round, FAGONE has started the production of preserves and processed products and has also created a line for the restaurant industry. The company also produces extra virgin olive oil extracted from Tonda Iblea and Nocellara olives, typical varieties of the Sicilian territory.

The company has received the "BEST IN SICILY" award as the best preserving company in Sicily and is listed in the registry of Italian excellences.
